Here is another two concepts of the shadowland. I am now writing some dialogs, info about the areas, designing the main character (the vessel) and NPC characters as well. Hopefully in some time i will start to gather the pieces together.

Aproaching The Samorost Atmosphere!

Welcome to the world of Samorost - a strange and mysterious place, but most important it has an atmosphere! Samoros is atmospheric, yes the first word that came into mind when i first experienced the game. Responsible for this game is AmanitaDesign - Czech independent games developer.

The game itself is a point and click adventure, very simplified game-play, but that is understandable for a flash based game. The art design is very interesting - photomanipulations and drawings, in some cases they don't blend very well, but that is not an issue (for me personal). Samorost has 2 parts, they have little game-play time if you are familiar with this genre, you can play the samorost parts for an hour or two.

Samorost have interestingly designed scenes and puzzles - for your eye and mind. Other strong part in Samorost is the soundtrack, its a direct hit, it cover the game perfectly with combination of the perfect ambient sounds. The verdict for this game - 100% atmospheric.

The story is not a strong feature in the game, but thats don't make the game less good to play. So if you wanna experience this distant and mystic cosmic world you should try it and play it to the end. Cause if you start it, you will need to finish it.

Earthworm Jim one of the most interesting characters in my opinion, just think of a worm in a power suit (ultra high tech indestructible super space cyber suit) - unique! The worm was in a TV serial, but more successful in the "Earthworm Jim" - jump and run game series. This site is one of the best about the Jim character and the other distinctive characters like Psy-Crow, Evil the Cat, Bob the Killer Goldfish, with pretty nice design and a lot of artwork and other stuff to download to your PC.

The whole idea of the "EVIL EMERGE" game came from a t-shirt design i've made. The game will be quest mostly, you will have to gather some artifacts and solve puzzles. You will find pieces of the history about the evil that have emerged in this shadow land and will help you understand this mystic realm.

Check out these 2 guys /5'Nizza - meaning “Friday”/ from Russia and Ukraine. Acoustic group formed in 2000. They play a combination of reggae, rock and hip hop. Their music is all about vocals, acoustic guitar and beat boxing. Making unique and funky songs, that i found recently and they got my ear and attention. Some of the songs remind me of the unique soundtrack from the game called "The Neverhood".
